The Outbreak Management System into eIDSR is a comprehensive and robust system developed by the UDSM-DHIS2 Lab in collaboration with the Management Development for Health (MDH) and the Ministries of Health to support the Ministries of the Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar in reporting priority diseases and detecting and managing outbreak events. The system is a web-based and mobile-based intake application. The system facilitates real-time case and alert reporting, outbreak investigations, and responses. The system is interoperable with other health information systems, including EMRs, DHIS2 platforms, laboratory information systems, and other data sources.
