Oswald Gerald Moshi is a Senior System Analyst and Data Scientist at the University of Dar es Salaam’s DHIS2 Lab, where he specializes in health information systems, data science, and artificial intelligence-driven digital health solutions.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam (2017) and is presently pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science at UDSM, where his research focuses on Natural Language Processing (NLP) for automating triage in Event-Based Surveillance (EBS).
From 2017 until 2021, Oswald worked as a Software Developer at Philips VitalHealth (Netherlands), where he focused on healthcare applications, system interoperability, and data-driven solutions for global health projects. His experience with software development, system integration, and digital health analytics provided a solid foundation for his work in health information systems.
Since joining the UDSM DHIS2 Lab in 2021, he has worked as a System Analyst, helping to create and deploy DHIS2 solutions as well as integrate health data. He is presently focusing more on Data Science and AI-driven healthcare solutions, utilizing machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI for digital health decision support.
