CMIS is a DHIS2-based tool designed to systematically collect, organize, and harmonize malaria data collected outside routine Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
It integrates various surveillance modules, including parasitological (SMPS), entomological (MVS), vector control (LLIN, IRS, LSM), and programmatic surveillance (TES, IRM), alongside micro and macro-stratification for malaria risk mapping. Key components include web-based data entry, mobile data collection via an Android app, interactive dashboards, and system integration to improve interoperability with HMIS.
The tool is undergoing enhancements to improve data visualization, export functionality, system usability, and real-time risk assessment, supporting the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) in evidence-based decision-making.
