The Ministry of Health in collaboration with UDSM-DHIS2 Lab developed a web based digital surveillance system to facilitate COVID-19 screening of all arrivals that enter the country via different ports of entry (PoEs) in Tanzania. The system allows travelers and returning residents to book for COVID-19 screening at PoEs. It facilitates payment for the screening via the government electronic payment gateway system (GePG) or online payment portal which has been linked to the Afya Msafiri system.The system is web based and accessible over the internet using a web browser at https://afyamsafiri.moh.go.tz.
