Up-Skilling Stakeholders on Staffing Workload Assessment on an Improved WISN System

A working session was held in CDE, Morogoro, where the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with partners and stakeholders, trained Health Secretaries and Human Resources for Health managers from Regional Referral Hospitals (RRH), Zonal Referral Hospitals (ZRH), Specialized Hospitals, and MOH on Workload Indicators of Staffing Need (WISN) Information System tools.

This data-driven tool aids in HRH planning and management by helping authorities prioritize and allocate healthcare personnel based on actual demands and documented priorities.

The UDSM DHIS2 Lab played a key role in facilitating the digital WISN system training, guiding participants through system functionalities, hands-on exercises, and interactive discussions to enhance staffing workload assessments and workforce planning.
