Vincent P. Minde is the Technical Lead at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) DHIS2 Lab, where he spearheads the development and implementation of health information systems across Tanzania. With over eight years of experience in digital health, he has been instrumental in designing and deploying government systems in the Health, Social Welfare, and Agricultural sectors using DHIS2.
Under his leadership, the UDSM DHIS2 Lab has developed innovative solutions like D2-Touch, a cross-platform mobile SDK built on Flutter technology. This tool enhances data collection capabilities across Android and iOS platforms, facilitating improved health data reporting and transmission at national and sub-national levels.
Vincent’s contributions extend to the development of comprehensive integrated health facility systems, addressing challenges in Tanzania’s healthcare delivery. His work emphasizes the “Patient Journey,” ensuring seamless integration from patient registration to treatment and discharge.
His expertise and innovations have gained international recognition, with presentations at global conferences such as the DHIS2 Annual Conference. Notably, his work on decentralizing user support in DHIS2 was featured as a local innovation at the 2022 Annual DHIS2 Conference in Norway.
