UDSM DHIS2 lab actively participated in and facilitated various program events of the Annual HMIS evaluation forum held from 13-15 November 2023 in the Morogoro region organized by the MoH M&E department. The forum brought together all HMIS/DHIS2 focal persons from all LGAs and MoH high-level management to discuss health data management using DHIS2 and share experiences and best practices. The forum provided unique opportunities for the UDSM DHIS2 lab as a critical technical provider for MoH to learn, receive, and disseminate information on various data and systems innovations. We oriented the participants on iAdapter, Event Capture/ Event report, Upgraded DHIS2 instance, WHO Data Quality Tool, and User support App. In his opening remarks, the PS, Dkt. John Jingu directed that electronic data collection should reach all HFs in the country and strengthen the capacity of HMIS focal persons with the necessary skills to facilitate effective quality data collection and usage at all levels.
